Ungava Bay is located in remote northern Arctic Quebec, 900 miles north of Montreal. Our camp is 100 miles east of Kuujjuaq the main northern community. Ungava Bay is less than 25 miles north of the camp.
Barnoin Camp
We have daily flyouts to three river systems that you'll be fishing - the Qijujjuuaq/Slot River, the Baudoncour River and the Abrat River all offer excellent fly fishing opportunities for trophy Char. These rivers are from 25 to 35 minute flights from camp and offer a variety of waters from light single handed rods to spey fishing.

The Char
Fresh ocean run Silver Char are extremely powerful fish that will take anglers into their backing several times over before being landed. They are found in the lower river sections where the river is widest and swiftest. Although Char rarely make spectacular jumps neither Steelhead nor Atlantic Salmon put up such resistants using all the rivers currents and obstacles to their advantage. Red Char are spawning char and have been in the rivers long enough to begin their color change from silver to brilliant red. These beautiful fish are found more in the upper sections of each river system and offer the same challenges as the silver Char. The Arctic Char that you will land will average around 10lbs with many fish in the 12-15lb range.
